This is the official website for the Jon-Erik Hexum Archive, founded as a fan club in 1985 by Alan Carell, in memory of the late television and film actor.  Unlike most fan clubs, who honor living individuals, this one has served more as an a repository of articles, photographs, videos, and original interviews of people who knew Jon-Erik.  Alan operated the club for many years in Portland, Oregon ("pdhexum" is a play on "PDX", the airport code for Portland),  prior to his move to St. Louis, Missouri in 2009. He continued it there until his death in June of 2019. Alan’s dedication and warm, outgoing personality attracted members from all over the globe in the club’s 34-year history, and helped to create a lasting legacy for a charismatic and talented individual whose life was cut tragically short due to an on-set accident in October 1984.

Although the club is no longer active, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to Jon-Erik—as well as Alan—to leave this website intact for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, grab your omnis, and take a trip back in time with us to the early 80s!

Thanks: A special acknowledgment should also be given to the late John Patrick Mullin, beloved teacher and friend of Jon-Erik's, who very generously donated much of the material you see on this page.
